We are Philly Fans!

Our friend Justin Phillips (aka Philly) came this last weekend for a quick visit. We were all so excited to see him, especially Carter (he is our sports nut). He played for the I.F. Chukars this summer and became part of the family. He is an AWESOME left-handed pitcher from Waco, Texas! The day we all hung out, we introduced him to "Rock Band". He tried the guitar, drums (not so good), and singing. He did great at the other two. He flies out tomorrow afternoon to go back home. We are going to miss him--again.

Rook is just excited to be in all the action... Jared likes to rock out to "Rock Band" too. He just finished up on the "Mississippi Queen" guitar solo. He plays the part well.

"Grateful" to be Done!

I spoke in Sacrament Meeting today on Gratitude. I was SO nervous, but yet loved doing it! (kind of creepy, I know) It went better than I expected. I held my composure and didn't fall apart like the last time I spoke in church. My excuse then was that I was pregnant with Rook. I didn't have an excuse this time. Jared spoke about a month ago, so I think he and I are good for at least another 4 years or so. I'll cross my fingers.

I made Rocky Road Brownies this morning. I had to take them to a Primary Inservice meeting, so luckily I didn't get to bring too many back home with me. I ate one on the way home from the church and discovered that they don't taste like the ones at Mini Bazaar. bummer--
I just got a new recipe for the most delicious mint brownies ever! A friend gave us some during Christmas, so I will let everyone know how they turn out for me. I'm hoping a little tastier than the Rocky Road.

I'VE DONE IT....actually, my sister did it!!

I have finally joined you all today. Audrey came over after preschool and literally set me up, so I guess I am ready to roar. I told her I wasn't so sure I wanted to do a blog, because I don't have anything to say. So, this will probably be full of nonsense and just whatever kind of info-- But I have read a few lately that I've thought was just that, so I guess that's okay.
I will say that I am a happy camper tonight. I have been searching this town for weeks to find pimentos, and I found them at Fred Meyer. I have been craving this delicious cheese ball for a month now, and it's in the fridge right now as I post! I guess I could have used a red pepper in place, but I wanted it to be just right. I hope it tastes just right too. Anyways, I was thrilled. (boring I know, but it's my life) By the way, has anyone seen Anchor Man? It's an older movie with Will Farrell. pretty weird & pretty funny
Okay, it's time to taste the cheese ball.
